Review
Initially I felt this was a well written novel; the characters have individual voices and you trust the author to the extent that you really begin to get into it. But then these individual voices seem to waffle, constantly narrating and explaining every point ad infinitum. The plot had been well introduced and this sense of promise keeps you involved. But then it just doesn’t seem to develop at a quick enough pace; repetition sets in. Then I realised that I hadn’t been enjoying it since about 7% onwards and had been slogging for some time after that. Regrettable because the author did initially grab my attention but then let me off the line- a DNF.
